Homemaking Hack- Thanks Pinterest!!

Hi. My name is Katie, and I have a problem. I am addicted to Pinterest. Seriously. I have to have time periods where I am not allowed on it or I become to into it that I want to be surfing all the glorious things it has to offer all the time. But seriously, who can blame me? Can you tell me anywhere else I can find the answers to all of my problems from what to wear to school to how to best plant my corn in my garden?

Really, it’s amazing. But enough about that- I want to share one of my favorite Pinterest finds to date with you! Our showers have glass doors and the water stain build up has become a source of anxiety and shame for me. I am a good girl who squeegees after showers, and I have tried the spray  you use after your showers but try as I might, I haven’t been able to get rid of the stains!! That is when in my desperation I turned to my go-to…….. PINTEREST!!!  I found many different theories but the one that intrigued me the most were the ones talking about using dryer sheets. What?! I have these in my house all the time!!! Off I went to try it!

DSC_0407See that stuff you have to look through to see the window??? Yeah, not cool.

Then enter……DSC_0410!!!!

Take your dryer sheet (I use Bounce but I don’t know that that matters.) , wet it and scrub the glass. It will look something like this:

Next, take your little green scrubber and scrub the glass down with it. The dryer sheet alone should have started to make the stains disappear, but the green scrubber should finish the job.

I turn it over then and wipe it down with the yellow side but no one said this was necessary. Then simply rinse and wipe clean!!

DSC_0412Ahhhh, that is much better!!

Depending on your shower, it may take more than the first time to get the stains completely gone, but you should notice a marked difference after the first cleaning! Enjoy!

Wishing you a Life Full,
