Whew! One whole week has past since we started our Summer health challenge. Hopefully you are successfully downing your 32 oz. of water a day and are ready to step it up a notch. This week I am going to aim for 64 oz. a day and I hope you will join me! Also, in addition to walking, I am going to try to add in some pilates to hopefully help tone some of my jiggle.
I wanted to share with you a gem I received in the mail that is my favorite workout DVD EVER!!!! I have tried many over the years. They are a great way to get in some exercise during rainy or cold days when you really don’t want to get outside. But let’s face it. I don’t look like Jane Fonda and typically about 10 minutes in and I am huffing and puffing and am about 3 moves behind the cute little instructor who has not even broken a sweat and has that annoying smile on her face that I can’t help but want to slap off. This Biggest Loser DVD, however, is great! The instructors are trainers from the show but the other people are former contestants. In other words, normal people who look like normal people! The exercises are very doable- nothing crazy (think jumping jacks and imaginary jump rope). They get your heart racing without making you feel like an out of shape blob. I got mine in the mail through Netflix but it may be one I end up purchasing- I love it that much!
If you have Netflix and have never looked for workout dvds with them, check it out! They have a lot of them and it is a great way to try them out without shelling out the $20 for the DVD only to have it collect dust in a corner.
