So I have a confession. I have a sweet tooth. A REALLY BIG sweet tooth. Donuts, chocolate and all things sugary just make me happy! When you are trying to be healthier though, these things don’t fit well.
I have tried eating more fruit to satisfy the need, but let’s face it, it’s just not the same. Plus, there is nothing more frustrating than bringing home some yummy looking fruit from the store only to discover the only yummy pieces are what was showing on top and everything else is overripe.
I am happy to let you know, I found a solution for me! Fresh picked! Last summer Kristen and I took our kids and our mom to pick fresh blueberries. It was so much fun and they tasted like candy! I am convinced it was the ability to pick and eat them straight off the bush.
With summer here, the abundance of fresh fruit is upon us and I urge you all to take advantage. Farmers markets and farms all over are offering fresh fruit and veggies now and trust me, you won’t regret taking your business to them!
Most of these places offer their produce pre-picked so it is still feasible when you are short on time as well!
